the road to Manali
After leaving the Indus valley the road climbs the Tanglang La (5328 m), with Kyangs, the wild horse of Tibet and big herds of pashm goats in this eastern region of Chang Thang. After crossing the Hinalayan Range the road continues toward southeast climbing the Rohtang La (3978 m) that inserted in spectacular emerald mountains marks the beginning of the long descent to the Kulu Valley and Manali, surrounded by forests.
