Once the way from Messina to Palermo passed inlands, from the Nebrodi to the Madonie mountains both arabs and normans armies invaded and reconquered Sicily following this route. Today the SS121 takes you in one of the least spoiled stetches of the island, among strange villages perched on hill tops. - Castello di Maniace - Biviere di Cesarņ - Troina - Nicosia - Gangi - Petralia Sottana.
