On the traces of the ancient customs officers in an exceptional site the coastal path marked out by Genoese towers that overhang the sea, known as the
"Sentier du Douanier", runs alongside the far Northern coast of the Cap Corse following the coast.

The green and fragrant Mediterranean vegetation that covers mountains, hills and small valleys, is
always present along the path. It can be dense if it is made of arbutus or it can be at the level of the ground, like in Capandula. In front of the sea, "lentisques" and myrtles, "cistes" and heather form a plant wall. On the rocky soils, brooms and rosemary dominates. Euphores and sea lavanders complete the plant kingdom of the Cap Corse.
